Needless to say, it’s been an interesting time for fans of CRPGs, especially those of the hit 2019 gameDisco Elysiumby studioZA/UM. After many original developers split from the studio, multiple “Disco-Like” projectswere announced to follow in its footsteps.
But, above all of these, ZA/UM’s own project, known online for the past few months as Project C4, has been the leading example of what a post-Disco world could look like, withthe previous trailerbeing filled with concept art and imagery that promised something as deep and introspective as the original Disco Elysium.

And now, at Gamescom 2025, ZA/UM has given a deeper look at Project C4, announcing the game’s full name,Zero Parades, with the subheader in the game’s trailer alternating between a series of phrases such as “For Fake Radicals”. Although much of this game remains a mystery, the trailer gives a much deeper look at ZA/UM’s next adventure.
A Closer Look At ZA/UM’s Next Adventure
Despite the success of Disco Elysium, fans of the hit CRPG have been feeling quite mixed about the news following the studio that created it, ZA/UM. For one, as previously stated, much of the original team for the game has since left the studio.
Additionally, since the release of Disco, the only other experience ZA/UM has put out is acheeky mobile portof their hit game. While perfectly fine in concept, fans have almost unanimously agreed that a mobile edition is nearly the exact opposite of what we expect from a studio behind one of the most famous CRPGs.

Although not as bad asDiablo Immortal’sclassic"do you guys not have phones?“moment, it was still proof to the fanbase that ZA/UM has since moved from being the little indie studio that barely managed to release one of the most extraordinary narrative experiences of all time.
However, the recent trailer has definitely brought back hype surrounding this project. Not only does it show off more of ZA/UM’s fantastic artistry, but it also includes some elements of in-game footage and a cinematic cutscene.

This first proper look at Zero Parades is fascinating. The first half of the reveal gives an almost realistic glimpse at the game, which is then diluted to the imaginative surrealist, watercolor, and sketch art beauty that ZA/UM is keen to deliver.
Although not much more about this game has been revealed, such as story details or a proper release date, we can hopefully expect to see more about this game in the following year.
