Sandra Bullock Recalled Her Initial Years as aWaitress
While it’s hard to imagine the Oscar-winning actressSandra Bullockfacing struggles during her initial years, it’s actually true. According to the star, she initially started off her career with odd jobs like waitressing, bartending, and such. Eventually, venturing into Hollywood the actress found her breakthrough role and thereafter appeared in several acclaimed projects.
Nonetheless, prior to her appearance in movies, Sandra Bullock noted during several interviews how she waited tables during her non-starry days. And thankfully, the actress believes that her struggle is what shaped her Hollywood career. Appearing onThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Bullock recalled her days as a waitress.
“Did you have the classic actor in New York being a waiter and that kind of stuff?” Colbert asked.
“I did. I did, I waited… I was a really good waiter.” Bullock replied.
Recalling her years as a struggling individual in New York, Sandra Bullock discussed how she waited in restaurants as a youngster.

Sandra Bullock Claims Every Actor Should Wait Tables
Venturing further into the conversation withStephen Colbertwho was also a waiter for five years during his struggling days, Sandra Bullock noted the advantages of waiting tables. Claiming how every actor in Hollywood must wait tables as their initial odd job, Bullock noted the reasons behind her statement.
“I feel that everyone should wait tables for at least a year before they go out into workspace,” Bullock stated.
Agreeing with the actress’ statement, the host claimed, “without a doubt” every actor must wait tables. Realizing the importance of struggle and having “some kind of service job, so you know what it’s like to be treated like garbage” Colbert added a hit of laughter to Bullock’s perspective.
Thereafter, the duo carried on their conversation, where Sandra Bullock recalled a story from her days of waitressing. Bullock narrated how she and her colleague used to pretend to be a German couple expecting a baby, to extract a good tip. With Colbert asking if it helped, the actress admitted that it indeed did.
