However the Canadian actor was very furious as his co-star and the lead actress of the movie, Margot Robbie did not receive a nomination in a key category.

The nominee list for the 96th Academy Awards was released recently and the list has continued to disappoint the fans of the epic fantasy comedy movie,Barbiewhich was also highest grossing movie of last year. The lead actress and the director of the movie, Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig did not get a nomination in the categories of Best Actress and Best Director which has disappointed a lot of fans.
Ryan Goslingwho portrayed the role of Ken in the movie was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor award but the actor has expressed his frustration for his co-stars missing the nomination list in a recently issued statement. According toThe Hollywood Reporter, Gosling said,
“I am extremely honored to be nominated by my colleagues alongside such remarkable artists in a year of so many great films…But there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally celebrated film. No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius. To say that I’m disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement.”
