Pokemon Legends Arceusis the newest game in the franchise, bringing a new formula to the nearly immovable IP, by going towards the open-world route. As such, many fans hypothesized that Monolith Soft was working onArceus.

Monolith Soft is a studio specialized in JRPGs, led by Tetsuya Takahashi. Together with Soraya Saga and Masato Kato, Tetsuya Takahashi was one of the main creators ofXenogearson PS1. He later left Square Soft to create Monolith Soft, which over the years, developed incredible expertise when it comes to building open-world games.

The firstXenobladeon Wii had incredible exploration and environment design.Xenoblade Xset the bar even higher, and it’s a shame the game is stuck on the Wii U. Monolith Soft later worked onZelda Breath of the Wild, greatly contributing to making Link’s latest adventure a masterpiece. Hence why many fans believed Monolith Soft was working onPokemon Legends Arceus.

Many fans expectedMonolith Soft to have helped out Game Freak onPokemon Legends Arceus.But turns out this popular theory was debunked. Now thatLegends Arceushas been officially released, looking at the credits after clearing the game will make you notice Monolith Soft isn’t listed on the game.

For several years now, Monolith Soft has been working on at least three unannounced projects listed on itsofficial site. AZeldagame, which is likely theBreath of the Wildsequel, an RPG, and an action game.

In other words, if therumoredXenoblade 3is real, then Monolith Soft has been working on it rather thanPokemonArceus. Hinting we could get an announcement sooner rather than later. Preferably with a Switch port ofXenoblade X.
