WWEhas been a very important connection between Hollywood and sports. Providing a level of entertainment that is rare to remake, the company has managed to gain one of the biggest fandoms in the world. Fans grow up watching and idolizing, not only the concept of this competition but also the wrestlers who partake in it, making up a huge percentage of the audiences of actors like Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, and Dave Batista. It is not a surprise that the views and the profits of an organization as big as this are sky-high.

WWEhas found it very difficult to find a footing in streaming services. That was until now, as it has been reported that theWWENetwork will begin streaming on two separate platforms. It has been reported that this organization has signed a $5 billion deal with Netflix for the streaming ofRaw,and also one with Peacock which allows it to have exclusive rights to all of its wrestling catalog.

WWEand NBCUniversal have signed a deal that will completely change the way the massively hit phenomena will be streamed in the US. Previously, all shows from this were streamed on its ownWWE Network, which was first launched in 2014. Ten years later, the decision was made by the company to give the rights to stream all programs from this, exclusively on Peacock. The executive vice president and chief revenue officer of the media company, Rick Cordella released astatementwhere he mentioned the exacts in more detail.

WWE has always tapped into the cultural zeitgeist with spectacular live events and larger-than-life characters, and we are thrilled to be the exclusive home for WWE Network and its millions of fans across the country. WWE Network is a transformative addition to the platform and complements Peacock’s massive catalog of iconic movies and shows, as well as the best live news and sports, from NBCUniversal and beyond.”

While the specifics of this deal have not been revealed to the public, it has been rumored that it runs for a five-year duration and is valued at more than $1 billion. The shift will be made somewhere in the middle of March and will involveWWENetwork shutting down and all programs being moved to Peacock.
