God of Waris one of the most celebrated franchises in the gaming community and rightly so.It has given some of the greatest hits in more than a decade’s run, with some of the most memorable mythological characters featured the games.
The franchise’s latest release,Ragnarok, was hugely successful in depicting Norse mythology through the lens of Kratos and Atreus and it featured the most famous Norse god, Thor, as an antagonist. He first appeared in the reveal trailer for the game, which was successful in generating immense hype. Of late, fans are wondering what a game dedicated to his story would look like.
A Character Worthy of His Own Game
God of Waris famous for excitingly presenting mythology, featuring numerous gods and goddesses from Greek and Norse mythologies. In the recent two titles, we saw a story geared toward Norse mythology, with gods such as Odin and Baldur featured in the game alongside the pop culture phenomenon, Thor.
He comes from a rich cultural background with a lot of depth in his character and an adventurous historical background. Since the release ofRagnarok’slatest DLC, Valhalla, fans have been having fun bouncing around the idea of a spin-off.
One such curious Reddit user raised the question of whether or not people would be excited to see a Thor spin-off. They wrote:

A lot of gamers were in favor of a game dedicated to the story of Thor. Fans said they would be excited to dive into his backstory, where he does all of Odin’s deeds. It would provide his perspective on the war, along with what Freya’s life would have been like when she married Odin.

Santa Monica does a great job of building detailed worlds and interconnecting stories among characters, which gives them an edge over other titles. It would be extremely exciting to play a game surrounding Thor’s story, and Santa Monica Studios has the right dev team to take on that challenge.
God of War Has Become A Genre of Its Own
Ragnarokwas one of the best games to come out last year and it managed to garner a lot of fame and appreciation. The game continues the story of its predecessor, titledGod of War,which came out in 2018.

EveryGod of Wartitle is worth looking out for, although some believe the handful games dropped the ball. Some of the most acclaimed are the original trilogy,Chains of Olympus, Ghost of Sparta,and the two latest entries featuring Norse mythology.
