Persona 5 Tacticaleaker Midori shocked the gaming community recently with the wildest revelation that not a lot of people saw coming, and every tweet made since then seems to only dig her into a deeper hole.

The leaker had revealed information about Persona 5 Tactica, Persona 3 Reload’s DLC, and more.

After cosplaying as a Japanese woman living in Japan with strong affiliations to SEGA/Atlus, it turns out she was nothing that she implied to be. And, with her recent tweets, it looks like she doesn’t get what the hubbub is about at all.

Persona 5 Leaker Midori Is Confused Why People Are So Angry

Hardly a day ago, shockwaves pulsated across X/Twitter, Reddit, and other social media forums, after it was revealed that the highly reveredSEGA/Atlus leaker Midori was not who she said she was.

While the user @MbKKssTBhz5 gave the impression of being a Japanese woman with broken English with insider information on SEGA/Atlus, it turns out her real identity was @MysticDistance, a white male from California who used to be in the leaking community.

There was a lot of anger for many reasons; some people felt it was a betrayal because they thought she was a girl when she wasn’t. However, a lot of the controversy seems to stem from the Midori persona conning people into believing they were Japanese with broken English, rather than just staying anonymous.

People aren’t quite sure how to react to the entire controversy.

Their facade began to crumble after numerous absences and a change from exclusively leaking SEGA/Atlus content toleaking information about other studios as well.

This aspect of the controversy has become a point of confusion for Midori, who asks their followers: Would the backlash have been just as bad if they chose to remain anonymous with no discernable gender and ethnicity?

Another person expressed they never felt weirded out in the first place, because people pretend to other people all the time on the internet. However, a reply quickly pointed out the specifics of why people were upset.

One reply passes comments on Mystic, the previous persona in question. There have been quite a few controversies surrounding him, including allegations of stalking and blackmailing.

A former SEGA employee corroborates that Mystic used to DM him frequently, with an ominous message sent at one point.

Of course, with the sources being X/Twitter, it’s good to take these things with a grain of salt. That being said, it’s very serious allegations surrounding the leaker, and something to keep in while engaging with their content.
