In a recent interview withXbox Dynasty(courtesy ofIdle Sloth), the director behindWo Long: Fallen DynastyMasakazu Hirayama revealed that the main story campaign of the game will take around 40 hours to finish, but there will be different side missions and challenges to well extend it for those who seek for more content in the game’s world.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the next big launch fromTeam Ninja, coming to consoles and PC earlier next year. The game was first revealed duringMicrosoftandBethesdashowcase back in June 2022 and will be available on the Game Pass service from day one.

When the game director was asked about how long it takes to beat Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty as a casual gamer, Hirayama confirmed that it would take around 40 hours to complete the main story.
“Estimated gameplay is 40 hours of gameplay just for the main story," said Hirayama. “There’s also side missions and endgame content, if you focus on that the 40 hours will of course be well exceeded.”
Taking a quick look atHowLongToBeat, reveals that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will probably be as lengthy as Team Ninja’s previousNiohtitles, as both Nioh 1 and Nioh 2 require around 40 hours to complete the main story.
Hirayama then went on to explain a little about the side missions and additional content in the game. “Specifically for casual gamers, we attempt to make the game fun and enjoyable with the different challenges that are presented in the game,” Hirayama explained. “You can use these challenges to learn enemy attack patterns, parries and blocks, and the game in general.”
Similar to Nioh 2, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will feature co-op gameplay with either real players or NPC recruits. “You can also play online with a friend, so you’re playing in a group to make it a little more accessible. You can also recruit NPC characters to help you,” Hirayama iterated.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will soon be available for pre-order. The game is supposed to receive some post-launch expansion, for which you may buy the season pass to receive all DLCs for free.
