The darker, more unfortunate moments in the interview were when the actress spoke about her experience coming out to the public and how they reacted to it.

The Spotlight Ony Became Brighter When Kristen Stewart Came Out
The behavior was only made worse when Kristen Stewart came out to the public as queer after having dated Robert Pattinson, her on-screen love interest in the past. Both of their names were brought up over and over, with the media trying to get a reaction from anyone they could find on this matter. The one who experienced the brunt of this aggravating treatment was, of course, the actress herself. During this interview, she spoke about what exactly was it like for her at this time.
“For so long, I was like, ‘Why are you trying to skewer me? Why are you trying to ruin my life? I’m a kid, and I don’t really know myself well enough yet,’” she says. “The idea of people going, ‘I knew that you were a little queer kid forever.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah? Well, you should honestly have seen me f*ck my first boyfriend.’”
She mentioned that she grew tired of the constant pestering she received at the hands of the press. Stewart added that for two years, she did not hide the truth of her sexuality, being seen with her partners in public, however, when she actually confessed to it during her 2017 appearance onSaturday Night Live, there was a sudden shift made. The media went from ignoring what was right in front of them, to claiming that they knew it all along.
