The item, which is called “Catalogue Expansion” is a ship module for the bridge, has been described as an addition that adds “new stratagem permits” to the ship management terminal for purchase.
It appears like this addition was a bug as a statement was released that asked players to not buy this item. However, some believe that this is Arrowhead’s method of announcing that new stratagems and ship modules are coming toHelldivers 2. So what happens when you acquire this item?

A new item has mysteriously appeared under the Ship Module section inHelldivers 2. The “Catalogue Expansion” is a new item that, as per the description, adds “new stratagem permits to the ship management terminal for purchase.” This ship module for the bridge can be unlocked, but players have now discovered that it apparently does nothing.

Subsequently, Arrowhead released a statement onHelldiversDiscord that asked players to not acquire this “rogue item” (viaIGN),
“The Ministry of Truth has confirmation that a rogue item called the ‘catalog expansion’ is temporarily visible in the Ship Management menu and, in accordance with regulations, we instruct all Helldivers to avoid this rogue item until further notice. The Ministry of Truth cannot confirm the reliability or safety of this item, nor can they confirm its origin.”
While some players believe that this was just a bug, some are positive that this is just Arrowhead’s way of teasing new stratagems and ship modules that will be added to the game soon. Being one of the most popular co-op third-person shooters in the world right now,Helldivers 2needs some updates to keep the players hooked.
