Arrowhead Studios has seen a lot of challenges ever since the release ofHelldivers 2last month. This includes overcoming major server issues, developing inappropriate communications with the community, and cheating in the game ruining the game for others.While the studio has managed to conquer these obstacles, it seems a new issue has arisen in recent times, causing the game to crash due to players having snowball fights with each other. As insignificant as it might sound, the developers of the game announced via the game’s officialDiscord Serverhow the game is having a hard time running when players interact with snow on the ground.
How Snowballs Are Causing Players To Crash InHelldivers 2
Out of everything that could have been causing the game to run improperly on users’ systems, it is humorous how it is players interacting with snow that is causingHelldivers 2to crash. Informing others about this to other players, an executive from the studios mentioned-
“We’re aware of a crash caused by picking up and throwing snowballs. We hope to have this fixed in the near future, but until then, we advise against snowball throwing!”

The executive stated how it is the interaction of the players with the snow on the ground and the action of picking it up that is causing an internal issue with the game, causing it to crash.
They also disclosed how there is no fixed timeline for the issue getting fixed and have advised all the players to avoid doing this interaction to avoid the crashing of their game clients. While it may seem like no major deal to the common player, the crashing of the game clients adds to the already existing challenges the studio is facing through, including cheaters ruining the experience and racism within the community.
Why Is TheHelldivers 2Community Divided On The Cheater Problem In-Game
As mentioned before, among the many challenges Arrowhead Studios faces regularly, an influx of cheaters ruining the experience for other players is one of them. However, a further issue has arisen recently, with one of the players pointing out how thecommunity tends to stereotype against one singular nationalitywhen it comes to cheating.
The user vented on the game’s subreddit in a now-deleted post saying how it is unfair to tie a whole nation with a stereotype, talking about how Chinese players are called out as cheaters just because of the letters in their name. He mentioned how the same can be said for any single country and it is prejudiced to say all the Chinese players are using unfair means to play the game.Helldivers 2is available to play onSteam.
