After this grand success, a DLC release was quite evident. Sometime after the release of this game, there were some serious leaks about a potential DLC that surfaced as well. But as things stand, we likely are not going to see any expansions for the game anytime soon.

No Plans for Any DLC of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Recently, Insomniac Games posted a short clip ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2gameplay from its official Twitter handle. In that tweet, a dedicated fan asked the developing company about any potential news on any DLC of the game. However, the developers disappointed all of us with their statement.

We don’t have anything new to announce.

It’s been eight months that fans have been waiting for a DLC of the game,but there weren’t any whispers from the company. As the story mode of the game was brief in length, fans expected a DLC right after its launch. But after this reply from Insomniac Games, the community is disappointed.

Just like this game, the predecessor of it was quite successful, and as a result, we saw it get multiple expansions.Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleepswas released in 2018, which is a collection of downloadable content.

It served as an epilogue to the main game’s story following its conclusion, where the titular character had to face the mob boss, Hammerhead. This DLC contained three distinct chapters:The Heist,Turf Wars, andSilver Lining.

However, in that menu, players found out about an entire battle arc in an upcoming DLC called the‘Beetle Villain Arc.‘ From the Beetle Janice Intro, we could get to know who the villain of Spider-Man could have been in this expansion.
