Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment(also known as WB Games) president David Haddad is exiting the company after 12 years of service and a rather challenging 2024.

The news comes fromVariety, which also says that Haddad won’t be exiting the company anytime soon, as the executive will stay on for three more months as WB looks for his replacement and to help the transition process for Haddad’s successor.

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Streaming and Games CEO JB Perrette and Hadded will lead a “town hall” meeting later this Thursday, providing additional details to the WB Games team.

WB Games' lackluster 2024 pales in comparison to 2023, when the division reaped the fruits of its labors whenHogwarts Legacywas released to critical and commercial success. Given the massive revenue from the Harry Potter-themed open-world game, Warner Bros. CFOsays its sequel is their top priority.

Perrette also shared his thoughts on Haddad’s exit, stating, “David has thoughtfully and purposefully chosen a time when our release schedule is lighter which will help minimize disruption to our ongoing projects and strategic plans and allow this team to smoothly prepare for its next record-breaking title.”
