Even before Sabrina Carpenter blew up and became one of Gen Z’s biggest stars, she was already making a name for herself with her early work. That’s how she slowly climbed to stardom and ended up as a target for famous pranks. The thing is, even though pranks like this are pretty common, sometimes people can go a little overboard.

MTV used to be one of the platforms that loved to mess around with stuff like this, with shows that were always pretty light-hearted. It was on one of those shows that Carpenter became the target of one of the most elaborate pranks, but also one of the most over-the-top, especially given her frantic reaction.

In episode five, Carpenter was shocked to learn that her house had a rat infestation and that many of her belongings had been contaminated with rodent urine and needed to be thrown away. Her reaction wasn’t just about the mess but was mainly driven by the fear of losing her childhood teddy bear.

The situation got so intense that Carpenter ended up crying, devastated as she watched her furniture and belongings being taken out of her home. Once everything was revealed, she went into shock before eventually breaking into laughter. Her mother even got in on the prank when she found out what was happening.

The Audience Didn’t React Too Well To The Prank On Sabrina Carpenter

PUNK’Dpranks are known for being very elaborate to make them seem more realistic, which is a big part of what has made the show go viral. In Carpenter’s episode, though, the issue wasn’t with the elaborate setup but with the script itself.

At first, the singer was just in shock, watching everything being thrown out in front of her. It seemed like the rat infestation was a real issue she was dealing with, which was used as an excuse for the prank. However, when her mother asked about the teddy bear, she started crying uncontrollably.
