Vampire Survivors would have been a very different game hadn’t it been influenced by Castlevania in the first place, so this is straight up the definition of a dream coming true.
The DLC’sSteam pagelists a release date just over a week away: Halloween itself. There, it details the upcoming content in more detail. It sheds any pretense of Castlevania adjacency by including familiar faces and weapons directly from the Castlevania series.
Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania is a collaboration with Konami, so there’s no need to pay homage here. It’s the real deal.
Simon and Richter are here, of course. As is an ensemble cast from throughout Castlevania’s history. The DLC comes with their signature weapons, but as mentioned on the Steam page, every character comes with a weapon selector that lets you change things up.
