Valorantis collaborating with Twitch for running a tournament of the game betweenTwitch Valorant streamers. The tournament will officially go live later today and here we will have a look at the teams, the format of the matches, and the schedule of the tournament. This is the Valorant Twitch Rivals Series 1.
The upcoming Valorant event is not a tournament between professional teams and players, however, most of the competitors are Valorant content creators on Twitch, who have been playing the game since its Beta launch back in 2020. Among the groups, there are a few players who have already been professional esports players, though they won’t represent any specific branded team of esports. Below, you can have a look at all the teams participating:

The Group-stage matches will kick-off later today, though it’s yet to be revealed which teams are forming up Group A and Group B. In a format of Round Robin, every team will play once against each of its group-mates. The group-stage matches will be held in Best of Three format and the top teams of each group will directly move into the semi-final bracket, waiting for their opponents to climb up from the Quarter-Finals. The 2nd and 3rd teams of each group will move to the Quarter-Finals and the winners will be qualified to the Semi-Finals. The last team of each group will be eliminated from the tournament. Prior to the beginning of the matches, each team will be able to ban and pick one map, with the last remaining map turning into the third and final map of the match.
Today, in Matchday 1 ofValorantTwitch Rivals, teams will be playing two matches. On March 3, all teams will be playing one match and the Group-stage will be closed. Then the Quarter-Finals matches will be held on the same day. Semi-Finals and Grand Finale will take place on March 10.
