Marvel fans, especially those who adore Spider-Man, have a lot to look forward to. FromVenomtoKravento moreSpider-Manflicks in the works, there’s a significant number of projects they are rooting for.Spider-Man: No Way Homeblew open the possibilities of what can and cannot enter the main MCU timeline, with the three iterations of Spider-Man—Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland—meeting each other for the first time.

Ever since the three generations of Spidey have met on-screen, fans have been speculating who among them is the strongest—is it the much more experienced and older Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man or the young and unbelievably strong Tom Holand’s Webhead, with Andrew Garfield’s redeemed Webcrawler somewhere in between. And it seems likeVenomstar Tom Hardy has an answer, which might make certain sections of the fandom a bit mad.
Tom Hardy’s Venom Would Avoid Tangling with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

It is surmised to be thefinal outingof the symbiote anti-hero in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, which is also indicated by the title. While Venom and Eddie Brock prepare to go out with a bang, Hardy has been making rounds on the red carpet.
In a recent interview withExtra TV, Hardy reiterated his belief that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is the best rendition to date, stating that he wouldn’t want his Venom to go head-to-head with him. He further elaborated:

Oh, Venom is just like a gorilla, right? Isn’t he? He’ll do what he has to do. I think it would be good fun. I think Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man there was ever played. And I am really fond of him. I think he is a great actor and a great kid. I mean grown man now; I’m an old man. But I’d like to work with him.
When the interviewer asked if he would win in a fight between them, Hardy replied with a smile,“No, no. I am too old for that. You know I’ve been in a fight, though.”The actor concluded that it might still not be the last time we will see Venom, and there are a lot more stories to tell.

As Marvel fandom thrives on passionate debates over their favorite heroes, Hardy’s comments could provoke significant backlash amongTobey Maguire’s devoted fans and ignite lively discussions about the legacy of each Spider-Man iteration.
Is There a Possibility that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Will Meet Tom Hardy’s Venom?
There have been several fan theories running wild on the internet, even more so after the MCU and SSU collaborated to bringSpider-Man: No Way Hometo life. And Tom Hardy’s Venom’s appearance in the surprise post-credits scene gave fans hope that they might get to witness Spidey go up against one of his greatest adversaries (and occasional ally).
While a lot of ideas have been thrown around, regarding which iteration of Spider-Man should get a chance to tussle with Tom Hardy’s Venom—Tobey Maguire,Andrew Garfield, orTom Holland—fans have largely rallied around Garfield and Holland. Many believe that Maguire may be too old to reprise his role as the web-slinger.

Holland currently has a few more movies left on his contract (seeDeadline). Ergo, one of them might see him venture on Venom’s Earth. There’s also a chance Venom might make a return in MCU’s big-budget multi-character forthcoming flicks likeAvengers: Secret Wars,&Avengers: Doomsday.
If Hardy is still up for co-existing with his symbiote buddy once again, he might get to lock horns with Holland’s Peter Parker, who has been theorized to be a big part of these two projects. Hopefully, both Tom Hardy and fans will get their wishes fulfilled in the upcoming projects, where Venom will take Spidey out for a deadly dance through the streets of NYC.

Venom: The Last Danceis arriving in theatres on October 25th, 2024.
