Today, publisher and developertinyBuildaired their2025 Connect showcase event on Youtube. Across the entire broadcast, we were shown trailers and news updates for 14 different indie titles.

50 Best Indie Games of All Time

Forget blockbuster AAA games! We want some plucky little indies!

This information all ranged from updates to pre-existing games, timing windows for Early Access periods, as well as some reveals of never-before-seen, brand-new titles.

I’ve been able to go hands-on with a few of these titles already, and everything I’ve personally demoed from tinyBuild’s upcoming slate of games has me excited and intrigued. With the team’s track record combined with my own experiences with showcase titles VOIN, Trainfort, and Hello Neighbor 3, I’m looking forward to checking out everything else below, too.

50 Best Indie Games of all Time

Every new trailer from the showcase is wrangled together here for your convenience, as well as information on any news updates relating to games that have already been out. Let’s take a look at everything.

ALL WILL FALL

Open Beta Date Revealed

All Will Fall

The upcoming All Will Fall launches into open beta very soon, with a planned date of June 14, 2025. As a longtime fan of city builders since I was a kid, this game caught my eye immediately.

Fully described as a “physics-based survival city-builder,” All Will Fall sticks you in the middle of the ocean and expects you to figure out a way to construct a thriving metropolis as best you can.

All will fall

In true physics game fashion, it looks like this will lead to hilarious and heartbreaking moments alike, as your buildings simply become too tall or are too ill-designed to remain standing.

Drill Core

Coming Out Of Early Access

Drill Core has been in Early Access since September of 2024, and tinyBuild announced today that it’s just about ready to release into its full 1.0 version. The game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam already from Early Access players, so this full release is awesome news.

The “base-building, roguelike strategy game with survival elements” will come out on July 17th, 2025. There’s also a Switch version in the works too, though that seems to be coming at a later date.

All will fall

This game looks like a chaotic blast as you control a team of miners and farm resources on alien planets.

Quacking Onto Consoles

DUCKSIDE isan absolutely absurdmultiplayer shooter with base-building mechanics. If this sounds like other games you have possibly already played before, I assure you, it’s not. In this one, you control a duck that’s armed to the bill with deadly firearms.

This one looks hilarious, and it’s already been available on Steam if you want to check it out on PC. The big news here is that DUCKSIDE is also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this coming August.

All will fall

Public Playtest Is Open

Older gamers will immediately think of Turok when they see this trailer for Ferocious, and that’s a good thing. This survival shooter pits players against dinosaurs and humans alike.

tinyBuild showed off an intense, new trailer for this one, as well as revealed that the public playtest for Ferocious is now open. Check it out on Steam to get into the action now.

Hello Neighbor 3

Prototype 2 Is Here

Long-time fans and followers will be excited to see that the second prototype build for Hello Neighbor 3 was shown off as well, and you can try it out for yourself starting today.

This new build is a huge step up from the original prototype, and demonstrates how Hello Neighbor 3 will offer a ton of player agency in coming up with solutions to in-game problems, objectives, and puzzles.

A Brand New Cozy Game

Hozy was a brand-new game reveal today, and it looks great. This is a title that looks super cozy and allows you to unpack, clean, organize, and decorate the spaces of a house. The presentation and graphics here also look really nice, which adds a lot to the overall intrigue of a game in this genre.

Despite being announced today, the public Playtest for Hozy is already available on Steam right now.

Kingmakers

Early Access Date Revealed

Kingmakers is an absolutely insane-looking mashup of medieval meets modern-ish warfare, and is also a combination of a third-person shooter and an RTS.

Swords, shields, guns, tanks, and motorcycles are all in play here, and the result is a tactical fever dream that looks incredibly fun.

Kingmakers will release into Early Access first, with a target date of July 05, 2025.

Of Ash & Steel

New Trailer Shown Off

Of Ash and Steel

In terms of scale and scope, Of Ash & Steel was the most ambitious-looking game from the entire showcase. This is an open-world medieval/fantasy RPG that looks to be one that players should really be able to sink their teeth into.

The trailer revealed many locations, characters, activities, and creatures you’ll meet in the world if you decide to check it out. Of Ash & Steel is slated for a closed Playtest in the near future.

Announced for Consoles

SAND had already been announced for PC/Steam, but it was revealed today that the upcoming extraction shooter will be dropping on consoles this year as well, specifically PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

This is surely one of the most creative-looking entries in the extraction genre that I’ve personally ever seen. Here, you’re on a desert planet and can build a giant, sand-crawling mech in order to traverse the unforgiving terrain.

More news about timing is forthcoming, but SAND is still expected to be released in 2025.

SpeedRunners 2: King Of Speed

Playtest Coming Soon

SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed

As the name would imply, Speedrunners is a platformer that focuses on… well, speed. The follow-up title, Speedrunners 2: King Of Speed is coming to Steam this year and is expected for consoles by 2026.

In this trailer, the team showed off an exciting-looking 64-player live tournament mode. It looks frantic, chaotic, and challenging in all the best ways.

This one also has an impending Playtest, expected this summer.

Streets Of Rogue 2

New Trailer Revealed

Streets of Rogue 2

Streets Of Rogue 2 also made an appearance with a new trailer for the game. This game is expected to come out sometime this year in Early Access, but there’s also a demo available on Steam right now for those that want an early peek.

Honestly, just for the comedic voice-over in this trailer alone, it’s well worth the watch. Humor aside, Streets Of Rogue 2 also looks like a fun and charming isometric sandbox RPG that could capture cozy and more action-oriented players alike.

The King Is Watching

Release Date Revealed

Next up, we have The King Is Watching, which got an incredible new trailer from Carbot Animations, creators of thehilarious, cartoony Elden Ring parodiesthat you may have seen when they went viral a few years back.

This is a city-building deck-builder with one of the coolest gameplay gimmicks in the genre. As the king, you’re in charge of your city and its people. The catch? They’ll only do what you want them to when you’re watching them.

A demo is out for The King Is Watching right now. In addition to the amazing trailer, tinyBuild also announced that the game will be coming out this July.

Game And Playtest Reveal

I’ve gotten to go hands-on with Trainfort, and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. This is a co-op survival and crafting game that takes place in a huge, procedurally generated, post-apocalyptic world inhabited by dwarves.

tinyBuild showed the game off in an extended trailer, and also announced that players can now request access to the game’s Playtest via Steam.

While I only tried this one out in single-player, I can already tell that it would be a ton of fun with a full squad of four players in co-op.

Dark Souls Goes DOOM

Last, butdefinitelynot least, we have VOIN. This is another game that’s already been in Early Access and was aslo created by a solo developer, Nikita Sozidar.

In today’s showcase, Nikita himself revealed an all-newmajorcontent update for VOIN called Permafrost. This includes a new, snowy world to explore, new weapons/characters/enemies, a quest system, and even a (literal) skill tree.

From my time with VOIN,it feels like DOOM meets Dark Souls, and it works brilliantly while also feeling unique and entirely like its own thing. Some of the coolest game design and mechanic explanation gimmicks are also here, all the more impressive that VOIN is only being made by one person.

The Permafrost update will be released later in 2025, but VOIN’s early access is worth checking out right now regardless.
