Continuing its sweet run at the box office, Warner Bros/Village Roadshow/Heyday Films’Wonkahits a sweet milestone. Made with a budget of $125 million, theTimothée Chalametstarred fantasy musical has crossed a remarkable $500 million in the worldwide market. The film is based on the 1964 novelCharlie and the Chocolate Factoryby Roald Dahl.

This Paul King directorial movie has garnered much acclaim from audiences and critics alike despite not being initially guaranteed as a success. Timothee Chalamet Revealed That He is Open to Playing the Character Again
Reflecting on the possibilities of any sequel and whether he wishes to play the character, Chalamet, in an interview with ET, said that he would love to do this again.
Asked about a sequel, he toldEntertainment Tonight: “If there was a story to be told. And evidently, there is.“

The star continued:
“Something twisted happens … I don’t know how we started like this and end there — I don’t know what the story is.”
Also, on the other hand, director Paul King told the outlet that he would “love to” make aWonkasequel. Fans can see a glimpse of hope, though at this moment, it’s not a sure thing.
