In case there was any doubt thatUbisoftis looking to heavily rely on its most popular franchise moving forward, credible industry insider Tom Henderson is claiming viaInsider Gamingthat the publisher already has teams working on threemoreAssassin’s Creedgames, on top of the previous six that had been confirmed up to late last year.

Though the prior games mostly comprised mainline titles in the series, these three new ones will seemingly be more complementary offerings that provide varying styles of gameplay. They are described as follows: Project Raid will be a free-to-play 4-player PvE experience that will feature previous assassins as playable characters.

Project Nebula is simply described as having three different settings, India, the Aztec Empire, and the Mediterranean. Thirdly, Project Echoes is another multiplayer offering that is using a form of cloud technology for development called Ubisoft Scalar.

It’s fair if you need some help catching up, as the project names are getting a bit difficult to keep up with at this point. The franchise’s next game is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is set to launch sometime in 2023. As per Insider Gaming, Assassin’s Creed Project Red is scheduled for 2024, it will have two playable characters and “a strong focus on stealth.” Ubisoft has confirmed that it’s to take place in feudal Japan.

Assassin’s Creed Project Invictus is reportedly set to land in 2025, and it is a multiplayer-focused take on the series. Project Hexe is slated for 2026. It’s being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, it has already received ashort teaser, and it’s reportedly to focus on the witch trials of the late stages of the Holy Roman Empire. Project Jade is an open-world mobile game, and Project Nexus is allegedly the codename of the franchise’sconfirmedVR experience.

Insider Gaming furtherclaimedthat a sequel to Project Nexus, which has yet to even be revealed, is “already being discussed.” That would bring the total number of Assassin’s Creed titles that are in some form of development to ten. This push into AC could be Ubisoft deliberately investing in safer ventures, given its recentturmoilwithSkull and Bonesand its rampant cancelations of unannounced titles.
