But he was never the legendary Super Saiyan that Vegeta mentioned. The legendary status was held by Broly, who first appeared onDragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan.
Broly has only one form and was born with a power level of 10000. In his transformed form, he could take on Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, and Piccolo. Even though he is so strong and feared, Broly will always remain inferior to Goku in terms of being a Saiyan. Goku can and has transformed into several ascended Super Saiyan forms, while Broly never achieved it.

Broly is one of the strongest characters in theDragon Ballfranchise. In his initial stage, he is calm and has a tall and pale figure.
