FromBlood of ZeustoRecord of Ragnarok, several anime follow the culture of retelling mythological tales. With his seriesTwilight of the Gods, Zack Snyder isn’t far behind either. His depiction of the thunder god Thor sets the series apart from its contemporaries. To say the least, the animated series isn’t a run-of-the-mill retelling of Norse mythology.

To add to that, Marvel’s portrayal of the thunder god falls flat somehow in contrast to Snyder’s series. This holds especially true when it comes to the sheer brutality outlined in the series. Most fans cannot help but draw a contrast between the two characters.
