Whenever the developer decides to bring back an aspect of an older game, then that’s a moment of not just nostalgia but also happiness to use some familiar gear.
With the release of the new season forWarzoneandModern Warfare 3, we have a bunch of new gear, but also some callbacks to an older era ofCall of Duty. It is now possible to get the classic Red Dot sight attachment for a new weapon that was added in the mid-season update.
Classic Call of Duty Red Dot Sight Gets Added to One Specific Gun
The mid-season Reloaded update dropped a few days ago and brought with it two new weapons, the SOA Subverter and Soulrender, along with two new game modes, Bounty and Juggermosh. However, the show stealer of the update is the original Red Dot sight that can be used as an attachment inWarzoneandModern Warfare 3. It has been named the Quarters Classic Reflex in this update, it’s essentially the same thing.

Red Dots have been a staple in the series, and back in the day, there was only one Red Dot sight in the optics attachment category. While the newer games have a variety to choose from, none quite resemble the OG until now. Read on to find out how to unlock the sight.
Unlocking the Red Dot Sight Requires Playing with a Specific Weapon
While unlocking the sight is simple, it may require you to change your playstyle. You will need to get the newly added SOA Subverter Battle Rifle to Level 8. Once unlocked, you’re able to add this sight toany weapon that supports it, such as submachine guns, assault rifles, LMGs, and marksman rifles.

A quick way to level up the gun is to play matches inWarzone’s Resurgence modes or the Small Maps Mosh Pit inModern Warfare 3to quickly rack up the kill count and XP. you may also cash in any Double Weapon XP tokens you may have to quicken the leveling.
TheCoDcommunity was quick to show its love for the OG Red Dot sight and appreciation for the move to include it in the new games. Several comments also waxed poetic about the older games and all the fun they had, with some hoping they are brought back in the way of a remake.

The Red Dot sight’s overall clean and minimal appearance made it a quick favorite in the community. It enhances visibility and aim without greatly restricting the field of view or adding too much clutter to the scope. It’s also much more usable in close quarters than other sights that offer greater zoom.
