The best thing about Kevin Feige’s Marvel is the end-credit scenes. They are almost always so juicy that you have no other option but to wait impatiently for the next film. Like howThor: Ragnarokset the entire scene for the impending doom called Thanos, Marvel Studios knows how to keep their audience begging for more. However, where there are hits, there will be misses, and a great example of a “miss” is the whole Spider-Man and Venom debacle that happened.

AfterVenom: Let There Be Carnage,we were pretty stoked that the time for a Spider-Man and Venom face-off was closer than expected. Of course, we know better now. Despite a few good years having been passed since the letdown, we fans have not gotten over the iconic rivalry that was robbed from us!
How Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios Robbed the Fans
It all began inVenom: Let There Be Carnage. As Venom andTom Hardy’s Eddie Brock sit back and relax in their hotel room, they are greeted by strange noises and are eventually transported to a different universe –Kevin Feige’s MCU. As Venom licks Spider-Man’s face on the TV, fans braced themselves for an epic Venom vs. Spider-Man showdown. However, whenSpider-Man: No Way Homecame around, all our desires were squashed like a bug.

InNo Way Home,Eddie decides to payTom Holland’s Spider-Man a visit in New York but before he could make big moves, Doctor Strange’s spell sends him back to his own universe. As Eddie travelled back, he took our dreams along with him. While he did leave a piece of the symbiote behind, it’s almost as if the MCU has forgotten about the alien goop completely. EvenVenom: The Last Dancehad no mention of Spider-Man whatsoever.
This reminds fans of the rival superhero universe, DC, and itsBlack Adam.Dwayne Johnson’s film was a matter of division in the fandom. While some loved it, others thought it was just meh. However, when the post-credits rolled in, the entire audience was jumping up and down upon seeingHenry Cavill’s Superman return.

Just like Venom and Spider-Man, fans believed that Superman’s return meant a brawl between him and Black Adam. Even Johnson was looking forward to fighting the Kryptonian supe. Alas,James GunnandPeter Safrancame along with their bulldozer and trampled all over our dreams.

Could Venom and Spider-Man Come Face to Face in the Future?
Venom 3was the final film in the franchise, meaning fans were pretty disappointed to see it come to an end without uniting Peter Parker and Eddie Brock. However, there might be a glimpse of hope after all.
According to a report byThe Cosmic Circus, there are plans to put the two characters on the same team as they fight a common enemy – Knull. As per the report,The Last Dancemay set the scene forSpider-Man 4.

Venom: The Last Dance Review — Mostly Joyless Trilogy Ender Shuffles to Obsoletion
TCC hears that Knull would be looking to cover the entire multiverse in his darkness and if the multiverse is involved, there is a good chance that Earth 616 will also be mentioned.
Since Venom left a piece of himself in the MCU, it is quite possible that Venom and Spider-Man may team up to defeat Knull. Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet so to say anything with certainty right now wouldn’t make much sense.

Venom: The Last Danceis currently in theatres.
Spider-Man: No Way Homeis available to rent/buy on Prime Video andVenom: Let Ther Be Carnageis available to watch on Prime Video via STARZ.
