Bong Joon-ho’s highly anticipated science fiction thriller,Mickey 17, starring Robert Pattinson has been in the news for quite a time. The Warner Bros. film, originally set to hit theaters on August 06, 2025, was pushed back to a new release date. The film written, directed, and produced by the Oscar-winningParasitedirector was previously delayed indefinitely. It’s now set to hit theaters on June 26, 2025, per reports.

Adapted from author Edward Ashton’s 2022 novelMickey 7, the film was expected to have Joon-ho put his trademark tonal shifts from the source material. Warner Bros. has officially announced a delay in the release ofBong Joon-ho‘s upcoming film,Mickey 17. The movie generated considerable buzz in the industry. Warner Bros. Pictures removed the film from its earlier date of March 2024 release,Mickey 17has now received a new theatrical calendar. As per reports, Warner Bros. has now confirmed the film to open on Jun 07, 2025, and also be available in IMAX theaters.

Robert Pattinsonstars as a disposable human being in this high-concept thriller, who can be easily replaced by his clones with his memory intact. A first-look teaser unveiled Pattinson’s character in a chamber. According to the novel, the storyline explores the ‘expendable’ played by Pattinson, embarking on a human expedition to colonize Neflheim, the ice realm.
