Between 2019’sAvengers: Endgameand the upcoming two films namelyAvengers 5andAvengers 6which will release in 2026 and 2027 respectively, the Marvel franchise has developed a whole new set of narratives. Phase 5 has also seen many other MCU superheroes and supervillains coming to the forefront following the exit of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America.

This huge playing field of characters who could potentially be a part of the future Avengers films, could also pose a problem for Kevin Feige and team. But judging from the Marvel head’s plans for the franchise, it seems that he has taken this aspect into account when he hinted that not all of them may get their day in the sun.

Which Marvel Characters Could Feature InAvengers 5And6?

Bringing together the vast narratives and the plethora of characters that make up the Marvel franchise is a herculean feat that Kevin Feige and team have managed to achieve through the MCU. While the films and series of Phase 5 haven’t quite set the screens alight, Feige’s efforts at cinematically adapting these cult storylines is still extremely praiseworthy.

A whole lot has happened since 2019 whenAvengers: Endgamesaw the exit of Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America. With films likeThe MarvelsandAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, series likeSecret InvasionandFalcon and the Winter Solider, and upcoming projects likeDeadpool and Wolverine, Thunderbolts*,andCaptain America: Brave New World, the family of superheroes and supervillains have expanded quite a bit.

With all these plot lines leading upto the two marquee films namely Avengers 5andAvengers: Secret Wars, it is natural for fans to speculate on who among the many characters could feature prominently in these storylines, and who could never be seen again owing to a problem of plenty.

“We wanted to see more Jeremy Renner”: Kevin Feige’s One Suggestion Completely Changed the Original Plan for Hawkeye and May Have Saved it

Feige, though, seems to have this aspect covered based on his latest announcement about the films. In an interview withGizmodo, the head honcho who has always never given anything away, once again left fans in suspense as he spoke about the various possible casting choices for films. He was also clever in not committing to culminating any character’s arc permanently.

The notion of never ever seeing somebody again, we’ve got Tim Blake Nelson in a movie coming up next year, right? So I never talk in absolutes like that. But the truth is, you know, we’re going to tell a story in these Avengers movies, and there won’t be room for 100,000 characters in it. So choices will have to be made, that’s for sure. But that doesn’t mean you won’t ever see anybody ever again.

While there is still time to go before the next two Avengers films develop and hit the theaters, fans will be looking forward to the upcoming MCU films while also continuing to speculate about the casting choices for the future. More importantly, they will also be hoping that the franchise resurrects itself starting withDeadpool and Wolverine, after a spate of poor box office responses.

Kevin Feige Has High Hopes For The Wonder Man Series

‘Move over Wonder Woman, we have Wonder Man’ seems to be the mantra forKevin Feigeat the moment. After having brought many iconic Marvel superheroes and villains to life on screen, the Marvel head and team are now stepping into unchartered territory as they introduce Simon Williams akaWonder Manto audiences for the first time in a brand new Disney+ miniseries.

Williams who first appeared inThe Avengers#9 in 1964, is the son of a rich industrialist who has complicated history with Tony Stark aka Iron Man whom he blames for his incarceration after he tries to steal funds from Stark Enterprises. Wanting to seek revenge against Stark and the Avengers, he submits himself to Baron Zemo for an experiment  which transforms him into an ionic superhero with extreme strength and endurance.

He then sets out on a mission to join the Avengers to seek revenge for being wronged by Stark. His conscience though ultimately doesn’t allow him to betray them owing to their kindness towards him.
