While the turn of events following the making and release ofIt Ends with Usalready had fans speculating about the rumored drama between the two leads of the film, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have further stirred everything up. This comes in light of the recent turn of events which had Lively launching a complaint against him before being sued herself by Baldoni.
Now, while both the actors are fighting hard to keep their respective careers and reputations intact as Hollywood gets divided between supporting the two, some reporters are landing their predictions and verdicts on how it all could turn out. One wild prediction about how this $400 million lawsuit filed could end claims the result would be a “settlement and apology.“

Within weeks ofBlake Livelyfiling an 80-page complaint, which detailed her issues with co-starJustin Baldonithroughout production including alleging him of “improvised physical intimacy that had not been rehearsed, choreographed, or discussed with,” Baldoni has launcheda retaliatory $400 million lawsuit against her.
Of course, this entire drama is as perplexing and messed up as can be, and many can’t figure out who really holds the more truthful narrative here. That said, a lot of people are delivering their opinions about how this turn of events will all end as the two fight for their star-studded careers and reputations. This includes a reporter as well, who feels Lively will have to take the fall.
In a clip shared byDave Neal on YouTube, the reporter can be seen saying:
I will say I think, at this point, Blake Lively’s reputation is taking the biggest beating if only because lots of videos [are] coming up [about what] she has done in the past… All this stuff is coming up. Also, all the stuff that Jesse mentioned that is on tape. It’s not gonna look good for her.

None of that is wrong, of course, because Lively has really been catching a lot of fire over her past controversial actions, includinglacking that empathetic element while promotingher recent cash cow box office blockbusterIt Ends with Us. That being mentioned, a lot of dirt is being thrown on her reputation so there’s an extent to which she can fight this battle.
On the other hand, there’s Baldoni, who has pretty much lost everything. This is because he has not only been dropped by his talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) but is also facing a crisis in his professional career due to these very reasons as well. Thus, he is more likely to fight this battle until the very end; until Lively proves her claim to be true or otherwise.
The reporter emphasized the same thing as she shared herself how all of this would end, saying:
Justin has everything to fight for. His career, his company – everything is ruined. He got dropped from his agency, they don’t wanna deal with him. So he’s gonna press as long and as far as he can. Honestly, I think, in the end, I believe there will be a settlement and an apology.
So a settlement and an apology from theMean Girlsstar is what we’re bracing ourselves for? Well, judging from the reporter’s predictions, that just appears to be the case if the allegations that she has imposed on him (seeVulture) all turn out to be false and she fails to provide concrete evidence against Baldoni. That said, reporters are looking forward to Baldoni winning as well.

In the case of events that what Blake Lively is accusing Justin Baldoni of is nothing more than just a series of allegations, reporters are pointing out how it would be a lot better if she just settles this and walks away ASAP. While it is true that “the narrative changes about who to believe and what is actually happening” every now and then, the chances of it settling are still high.
As reporter Jesse Weber continued to share during the same interview on News Nation: “I think this is not only a legal battle, it’s also a PR battle. The fact that he has reversed the narrative, he has put forward this complaint – that might be a win in and of itself. He might look for a settlement and that might be a win. Would that be a win for Blake Lively? I’m not sure.”
