After yetanother outbreakof COVID-19 on the set ofThe Witcher, the highly praised Netflix show was once again placed on ice. After four confirmed positive results for COVID-19, production and filming at Arborfield Studios, which is west of London, for season two was halted until it was deemed safe to return. If you’re a fan of the show you’ll know that this isThe Witcher’s second time at having to put a pin in furthering along with its next installment following a lead actor testing positive for the virus. Thankfully, we are seeing signs of life and according toRedanian Intelligence, filming has finally picked back up again.
Production resumed last week at Arborfield Studios in Reading where the team has been witnessed building up a huge town from the ground up. We have also seen a sneak peek atGeralt’s and Yennefer’s reunionfrom sequences being filmed at Frensham Little Pond that includes Henry Cavill’s Geralt and Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer riding horses together recorded bySara Talibover on Instagram. The video shows the cast and crew standing around in the cold British weather as Geralt and Yennefer trot off along a frosty line to someplace unknown as yet. Yennefer is also seen sporting a brand new dress in some of Sara’s other pictures showing that it most likely takes place after the Battle of Sodden inThe WitcherSeason One.

Previously we saw Sorceress Tissaia de Vries played by MyAnna Buring, Stregobor by actor Lars Mikkelsen, Therica Wilson-Read, Sorceress Sabrina, and Vilgefortz, mage and member of the Chapter of Sorcerers played by Mahesh Jadu have been spotted walking alongside Anya Chalotra who plays Yennefer between takes. An unfamiliar and yet unidentified face also has been seen with Therica Wilson-Read which could hint at a brand new mage joining the team. What is interesting though is that we also notice a bushy-bearded Cahir (Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach) played by Eamon Farren who looks to be bare-chested under his shirt which could mean that he may have become imprisoned in the aftermath of the Battle of Sodden. This is in stark contrast to arecent pictureof him in a new black and golden Nilfgaardian armor.
