There is only one thing which I look forward to more than completing my movie marathon – going to the theatre to catch the latest Christmas flick. But this time around, it seems like Tom Gormican and co. have other plans for all of us – bringing back the big snake to the big screen.

When Columbia Pictures made its plans to come out with anAnacondamovie official, I was more than seated. After all, I was just a child when I first experienced the horror one can feel when they’re face-to-face with the gargantuan reptiles.
It has been over 2 decades since the 1997 filmhit the theatres. But the horror still lingers. And so does the anticipation. After all, it isn’t every day that you get to see one of the most ruthless ‘protagonists’ in action after decades.

The ensemble makes you wonder, whether the movie will scare you straight, or will it leave you in splits? And judging from the movie’s premise, chances are it might be a bit of both.
Anacondalooks like it packs more than a punch
Turns outAnacondawon’t be about an anaconda. Of course, it will be about one. But it’s not going to be the center of attraction for fans all around. It will revolve around something more, well, human.
Particularly, it will revolve around a band of friends who are on their way to the rainforest to remake their favorite movie from their youth, ‘Anaconda’ (surprise, surprise!). We love a meta moment and obviously it’s bound to go terribly wrong for the crew (not the actual one hopefully).

Well, that is where I am wrong. It ain’t your usualAnacondamovie, after all. There will be blood. There will be deaths. And sure as hell, there will be a snake. But all of it will have a novel twist. And I’m more than ready for whatever’s going to come my way this Christmas (except a slithery beast from the rainforest).
