The Outer Worlds, a single-player first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division, onlylaunchedOctober 25 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and in that short space of time, the game is scoring very favorably with players around the world. Sitting at a healthy score of 86 forPS4 on Metacritic,it’s obvious that this space odyssey adventure game is going from strength to strength. If you have yet to dive intoThe Outer Worlds, the entirety of the game lasts for around 25-30 hours but speedrunner ‘It’s Jabo’ has decided that’s just far too long and undertook the task of finishing it in 30:54 minutes.
YouTuber It’s Jabotakes on the speedrun ofThe Outer Worldswith gusto as we witness him sprinting and hopping his way through the game, cutting as many corners as he can just to save on time. Of course, Jabo has no time for the dozens of conversation encounters you have with people throughout this game as that would only slow him down so he speed-clicks his way through those too. Oblivious to his challenge, many of the game’s enemies are bewildered as to why he’s just whizzing past them as they try their best to slow him down but Jabo eludes them with ease, eager to finish this ‘any% speedrun’ in the quickest time possible. You can check out the entire speedrun video at the bottom of this article.

Finally, with sore fingers from all that clicking, Jabo finishes the speedrun right at the 30:54 minute mark. Although pleased with his completed time frame, Jabo still wasn’t totally satisfied and stated that “this run is very early in development and the times will change over the next couple of weeks – but a sub-31 is a good starting ground for the category.” If this type of gameplay floats your boat, you’ll be interested to hear that Jabo has other games that he has whizzed through too includingFallout 3andFallout New Vegaswhich you can check out over on hischannel.
