With the introduction of new and improved Switch 2 hardware, there are a few wrinkles that need to be ironed out, including games that haveissues on startup, in-game issues, and others that justrequire you to use your Switch 1 Joy-Cons.

Nintendo has updated its privacy policy, leaving some feeling a little uneasy headed into the Nintendo Switch 2 launch.

While there are quite a few games on the PDFs that Nintendo released, the problem seems to be manageable, and games are either categorized as being investigated or planned to be resolved via an update. With the release of the new Switch 2 console coming soon, it’s difficult to say how many of these games will continue to have compatibility problems.

Nintendo has organized the compatibility problems into three PDFs, giving a clear status of each game, and stating that “Nintendo is continuing to improve compatibility, including by working with publishing and developing partners.” (viaNintendo.com)

While we might see some persisting backwards compatibility problems, it’s clear that Nintendo isactively working on fixing the issues, and we’ll most likely see a much shorter list when the console finally arrives.
