It’s an intriguing move from Nacon. The publisher looks to be greatly increasing its efforts in the space. They haveWerewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood,Blood Bowl 3, andVampire: The Masquerade -Swansongalready on the books for 2021. Add in games without a release date likeSessionandSteelrisingand you have quite the catalog on your hands.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollummight be the biggest of them all. It’s certainly the biggest property they have on the books. Of course, we don’t know ifGollum’s brand of exploration and stealth will actually be good just yet. However, I’m willing to give Daedalic the benefit of the doubt. After all, I put entirely too much time intoKen Follett’s The Pillars of the Earthback in 2017. Hopefully, they can knock this one out of the park as well.
Regardless, expect to start hearing more about what you’ll actually be doing inGollumsometime later this year. Daedalic is based in Germany, so I think Gamescom (if it happens) makes a lot of sense for a big reveal.
