Since it first released at the beginning of 2017,The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildquickly gained acclaim and captured fans of the series everywherewith its fresh take on theZeldalineage, and in a new fan animation, the title comes to life in a striking, beautiful way.

An animated video originating from YouTube by Youyang Kong (in collaboration with Qianya Yin) has been making the rounds online, with the video capturing many of the elements that madeThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildan instant classic when it arrived nearly two years ago.

While the video is obviously not officially produced or in tandem with Nintendo in any way, the animation itself is certainly done on a professional-quality level and sure to make fans ofThe Legend of Zeldaseries very, very happy.

Notably, rumors of aZeldaanimated series have been passed around for quite some time, with the most recent speculation being that the series would be coming to Netflix fromCastlevaniaseries creator Adi Shankar. While obviously that hasn’t come to fruition in any way, it’s hard not to watch the fan animation and hope that ifZeldaever makes the jump to an animated series, it would at least match the excellence that we’ve seen from the fan animation by Youyang Kong and Qianya Yin.

In terms of other recentZeldanews, those looking to hop back into some of the older titles in the series now have the chance to experienceZelda II: The Adventure of Link, which was just recently added to the lineup of NES gameson Nintendo Switch Online.Likewise, theZeldaseries has also popped up in other Switch titles as of late, including the recent release ofDiablo III: Eternal Collectionandthe special Ganondorf armor and skinsexclusive to that version of the game.
