One dedicated fan ofThe Last of Usrecently took it upon themself to learn the guitar with the sole intent of creating one of the most brilliantly atmospheric Ellie cosplay videos we’ve ever seen.
AlthoughThe Last of Us: Part IIis now only a few months away from its second anniversary, the series is still very much in the spotlight. Not only is HBO’sThe Last of UsTV series gearing up for its first season later this year, but there are also rumours circulating that a remake of the original game is set to be announced too.
For die-hard fans of the series though, it’s simply about the love for the original story and characters that compel them to create these amazing cosplays.
The Last of Us Fan Creates Incredibly Atmospheric Cosplay Video

We’ve seen plenty of Ellie cosplay videos before, but what makes this one so special is the incredibly atmospheric vibe the cosplayer managed to create. When asked if the ambient sounds were inserted afterwards, their response was “Everything was natural as I was recording”. Listening to the chirping of the birds and the wind travelling through the trees definitely makes us want to replay the series all over again.
The cosplay video, which can be found below, features all of the key elements needed for the perfect Ellie cosplay. Short sleeve shirt, army green top, jeans, converse, and of course a guitar.
Not only does the atmosphere of the video already have fellowLast of Usfans loving the cosplay, but the icing on the cake was the rendition of Gustavo Santaolalla’s ‘Longing’ being played too. Skinny_AZN said that they had learnt guitar just for this video, which makes it all the more impressive.
