A few days ago, theHelldivers 2community managed to activate the Democracy Space Station and shortly after that, it was revealed that the Automaton Jet Brigade had launched the attack to take down the DSS Logistics Hub to locate the DSS’s location. Fearless Helldivers have never faced any problems in taking down Automaton threats like this. However, this time, something was different.
With this being the first Major Order after the activation of the DSS, it proved that there is still no coordination among theHelldivers 2community. The location of the DSS was changed randomly, plus the decision to choose the Planetary Bombardment Tactical Action proved to be a terrible one. The toxic players are so disappointed that they are bashing the community for their poor performance but one player has pointed out that the toxic players are missing the point.
ToxicHelldivers 2Players Are Not Understanding The Point
Despite poor communication, theHelldivers 2community managed to complete the recent Major Order, however, some toxic players on Reddit are convinced that the performance was horrible and Arrowhead Game Studios had to aid the community as it was their first time using the DSS. To shut down the hate, a player on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit pointed out that toxic players are missing the point as the game is making fun of democracy.
Many players refuse to understand thatHelldivers 2is a satire on imperialism and fascism. In case you’re still not convinced, Johan Pilestedt, the Chief Creative Officer of Arrowhead, has explained in the past that was planned to be “a co-op action shooter where players are put in the shoes of the ‘evil side’ grunts of pop culture,” confirming thatplayers are on the “evil side.“

Losing a Major Order like that can be indeed disappointing, but some players just need to relax as it is just a game, and having fun is the entire point.
TheHelldivers 2Community Messed Up By Changing The Location Of The DSS
The DSS is a powerful strategic tool, but each Helldiver plays a key role in determining where to place it. It doesn’t matter what the community has decided as players can randomly pick whatever planet they want. During the Major Order, the DSS was moved when the whole community was asked to defend Mastia. Many players suggested that Mastia must be captured to prevent the attack on Gaellivare, but in the end, the Automaton Jet Brigade took over the planet.

Thankfully, the DSS was moved and is out of Automatons’ reach. Some players are disappointed that the game clearly stated that taking over Mastia would have saved Gaellivare and yet, the attention was not on Mastia. For now, things are under control as the DSS is still in safe hands. It can certainly be annoying when the community goes against what you plan as an individual but at the end of the day, it’s just a game.
