Thanks to a few new Modules, we build Freyna and her Ultimate variant very differently to how we used to. With this in mind, let me show you everything you need to know in our Ultimate Freyna build guide.
What is the Difference between Freyna and Ultimate Freyna?
Before we dive into Modules, Weapons, and builds, let me quickly explain the difference between Ultimate Freyna and her regular counterpart. Besides the dramatic differences in appearance,Freyna has slightly lower base statsthan Ultimate Freyna.
These differences don’t matter too much in the grand scheme of things. If you’re like me and fully invested into Freyna before her Ultimate variant was announced, she’s still fantastic.
The most significant advantage Ultimate Freyna has is access to exclusiveTranscendent Modules.Toxic Mixture and Venom Injectioncan only be used by Ultimate Freyna.
you may obtain both Transcendent Modules fromThe Heart of the Fortress mission on Hard Mode Fortress. Each has a lousy drop rate of 2.5%. You can also try your luck at combining Modules with Silion in Albion.
Before Ultimate Freyna was added to the game, Contagion was arguably Freyna’s best Transcendent Module. It remains a fantastic choice, and we will use it for both builds.
Ultimate Freyna Builds for Mobbing and Bossing
Ultimate Freyna can be built in a couple of ways. Thanks to a couple of new additions to the Module pool,we don’t rely on Critical Damage and Critical Rate modslike we used to, as there are better options now.

This is a comfortable build with tons of survivability thanks toIncreased HP and Increased DEF. Focus on Tech and Focus on Toxic are pretty standard Modules for any Freyna build, as they buff her Venom Baptism Unique Weapon.
We use the newTech and Toxic Amplification Modulesto increase damage further, but they have a downside. The Amplification modules both reduce our Critical Hit rate. The damage is worth it, but it means we no longer bother chasing Crits with Freyna.
Skill Extension and Expansionincrease the size of our Toxic pools and make them linger for longer, which is excellent for spawn killing.
Finally,MP Conversionincreases Skill Duration even further, andMP Collectorshould keep our reserves topped up.
Ultimate Freyna Bossing Build
Toxic Stimulation
Augments Defense Mechanism skill to grant Plague Body Armor to naerby allies
Battle of Stamina
Max HP +122.3% and Skill Duration +8.8%
Nimble Fingers
Skill Cooldown -25.6%
Your Transcendent Module choice matters a little less for boss battles, sodon’t worry if you only have Contagion. I’ve gone with Toxic Stimulation as it offers survivability for the entire team, and randoms are unpredictable.
I like to be tanky against bosses, andIncreased HP, Battle of Stamina, and Increased DEFgive us some welcome sustain. We’re using the same package of Tech and Toxic skills to ramp up our skill damage.
Skill Extensionmeans our Toxic effects last longer, andMP Conversionreduces cooldowns. Finally, we useNimble Fingersfor even more cooldown reduction, as we don’t need to use Modules that boost our range.
Best Weapons for Ultimate Freyna in The First Descendant
Ultimate Freyna relies heavily on skills, so her weapon choices aren’t as important as many other Descendants. You can’t go wrong withthe usual best weaponsinThe First Descendant, like the Thundercage or Enduring Legacy.
However, if you want to min-max, theSecret Garden is arguably the best-in-slot gunfor Ultimate Freyna for mobbing. The Secret Garden’s “Gardener” ability grants the Pest Control buff whenever we use a Tech skill, which boosts Skill Power.
The only downside to The Secret Garden is its DPS, which is pretty mediocre if you’re just shooting with it. If you’re fighting bosses, you will usually get more mileage from something like the Enduring Legacy, as it has a massive magazine size and hits like a truck.
Ultimate Freyna is all the rage at the time of writing, but don’t sleep on thenew ETA Voucher systemfor superb rewards including Energy Activator Blueprints.
