Having worked as a twelve-year-old on the set of James Cameron’s timeless film, Eliza Dushku recalled the time she was allegedly s-xually harassed.
Years afterTrue Lies’ release, Eliza Dushku opened up about her time on the film set via a lengthy Facebook post. She claimed that her stunt coordinator, Joel Kramer, behaved extremely inappropriately with her during their time together. From being groomed to getting hurt on set, Eliza Dushku got candid about it all.
Eliza Dushku’s Experience on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Hit Film

However,Eliza Dushkuchallenged his reputation in 2018 when she accused him of s-xually harassing her on the set ofArnold Schwarzenegger’sTrue Lies.
During the wake of the #MeToo movement, Dushku took toFacebookto post a lengthy letter addressing the mistreatment of her 12-year-old self at the hands of Kramer. She started off by stating,
When I was 12 years old, while filming ‘True Lies’, I was s-xually molested by Joel Kramer, one of Hollywood’s leading stunt coordinators.
Dushku claimed that Kramer was very methodical in his plan – gaining her parents’ trust and grooming her for months. She recalled how he invited her to his hotel room with a promise to go swimming at the stunt crew’s pool. However, when she reached his room, he apparently dimmed the lights, cranked up the AC, and pulled down the shades. She stated that he emerged naked from the bathroom with nothing but a flimsy towel on and laid down on her.
…emerged, naked, bearing nothing but a small hand towel held flimsy at his mid-section…I remember how he laid me down on the bed, wrapped me with his gigantic writhing body, and rubbed all over me. He spoke these words: ‘You’re not going to sleep on me now sweetie, stop pretending you’re sleeping,’ as he rubbed harder and faster against my catatonic body. When he was ‘finished’, he suggested, “I think we should be careful…,” [about telling anyone] he meant.
She also recalled how he had her sit in his lap during a cab ride and“grew aroused”from it. After they returned to set, young Dushku confided in her“tough adult female friend”who confronted Kramer.

Dushku stated that immediately after the confrontation, she was very conveniently injured during a stunt that had gone wrong. She believes that it was a deliberate attempt on Kramer’s part stating,“Whereas he was supposed to be my protector, he was my abuser.”During all this, Dushku was 12 years old and Kramer was 36.
On the other hand, Kramer has denied all the allegations.

In a recent interview withBoston Magazine, Dushku stated,
I had the means to shift directions and choose a course in my life that focused on healing myself so that I could help heal others. I would be remiss if I didn’t now share the transformation and the peace and the passion that I have. This is just absolutely so clearly my real calling, my real purpose.
As for why she opted for psychedelic therapy, it all started when she began therapy to deal with her childhood trauma. Her husband, Peter Palandjian, stated that after her Facebook post went viral, she was cast“into complete PTSD.”Despite trying everything, nothing worked. That is until her trauma therapists suggested combining psychotherapy and psychedelics.
It worked tremendously in her favor. The relief was instant and she was finally able to heal.
