But while the 2012Avengersmovie marked the end of Phase 1, it strategically gave away the entire plot of Phase 2.

During theirEvery Movie Everpodcast, the duo revealed howThe Avengers, which marked the end of MCU’s Phase 1, hinted at the plot of Phase 2 films. The second MCU phase spanning from 2013 to 2015, began withIron Man 3and ended withAnt-Man.
As per Ben Groves and Rob Macfarlane’s theories,The Avengershad different scenes where the characters were heard engaging in conversations that significantly hinted at Phase 2 films.
