The release for the latest entry into theStory of Seasonsseries,Pioneers of Olive Town, is fast approaching. The game was revealed as part of aNintendo Direct Minishowcase in 2020 and is set for release on theNintendo Switchthis February in Japan and a month later in the West.
In the lead up to launch, publisher XSEED isrevealing a fewdetails to get players excited. Last week, we were treated to a look atthe game’s five male and five female marriagecandidates, and now plans for the games expansion pass have been laid out.
Content will be released for the game on a monthly basis and will contain"new costumesof the main characters and love candidates" as well as “mini-scenarioswhere you can enjoy stories different from the main game…”
The DLC will be available for 2500 Yen (approx. $24/£18) and content from the pass will start releasing in April.
April’s content consists of a new “Kigurumi” outfit for the main character and the ten marriage candidates, as well as a mini scenario titled “Olive Town Mystery File.”
May will see content that “adds new places, residents, and two romance candidates based on the theme of the past series.“In the love candidate pack “Kaze no Kohan”, four residents make their way to the “well-ventilated lakeside from The Land of the Beginning of the Ranch Story”.
June adds both a “Gakuen Set” for the main character and a “School Set” for the marriage candidates, as well as a new location and love candidates from previousStory of Seasonsgames.
July brings the “Yukata set” for the main character and the ten love candidates, plus an additional mini-scenario titled"Legendary Coropon Dance.“Finally, August adds new places, residents and four returning residents fromStory of Seasons: Trio of Towns.
The expansion pass will also come with three bonus outfits. They are “Western style of Kanata and Nanami”, “Yuto and Naomi’s hoodie style” and “Pete and Claire overall style”.
