As one of the game’s major factions, Ryujin Industries focuses on corporate espionage rather than the more traditional spacefaring missions you take on in other parts of the game.

The rewards for joining this faction are well worth the effort, and you won’t be locked out of any other faction’s questlines either. In thisStarfield helpguide, we’ll show you how to join Ryujin Industries and start climbing the corporate ladder to gain power, rewards, and influence. In the game, of course.

Starfield: Early-Game Skills You Can’t Ignore

How to Join Ryujin Industries in Starfield

The first step involves applying for a job, which you can do by interacting with one of the Ryujin Industries kiosks found throughout the galaxy. If you pass by it, the quest “Back to the Grind” will automatically activate, prompting you to apply for a position at Ryujin Industries.

Alternatively, you can also head directly to Neon in the Volii System and find the Ryujin Industries headquarters there. Unless you’ve got access to it though, you’ll have to locate another kiosk. You can submit your application there by answering a few questions.

The answers don’t matter much—whether you boast about your experience or downplay your abilities, you’ll still secure an interview with Imogene Salzo, the hiring manager at Ryujin Industries.

Once you’ve completed the job application, your next step is to travel to the city if you’re not already there. you may’t directly jump there,so check out our guide on how to enter Neon City.

Upon landing in Neon, Ryujin Tower is easily visible from the spaceport. Follow your quest marker to the building, and you’ll be directed to meet Imogene for your interview.

The questions she asks are standard fare, and much like the application process, your answers here won’t affect the outcome. After the interview, you’ll officially join Ryujin Industries as a new recruit.

Starting Your Career at Ryujin Industries

After joining Ryujin Industries inStarfield, your first task may seem mundane: you’re sent to pick up coffee from TerraBrew for the corporate higher-ups. However, this simple task quickly takes a turn when you encounter Tomo, a disgruntled former employee of Ryujin who sees you as a threat.

Depending on how you choose to handle the situation, you’re able to either persuade Tomo to back down or take more forceful action.

Regardless of how the interaction with Tomo ends, you’ll complete the coffee errand and return to Imogene, who will already know what transpired. After this event, your status within the company is elevated, and you’re quickly promoted to Junior Operative.

Your first mission as a Junior Operative will involve planting incriminating data in a rival corporation’s systems—yep, no more coffee-fetching for you!

From here, you’ll be tasked with completing a variety of missions that focus on manipulation and sabotage. As you work your way up the Ryujin ladder, your responsibilities will only grow larger.

It’s an interesting questline that takes a very different turn from the game’s other missions.

While we don’t want to spoil the entire story for you, we suggest you level some skills like Stealth, Persuasion, and Security, as these will play a huge role in your work with Ryujin. Carry plenty of Digipicks too.
