Starfieldhad the potential to elevate the video game industry after the promise of interstellar travel and space exploration for the next generation of gaming from Bethesda Game Studios. Unfortunately, the new ambitious IP fell flat and had fans wishing for something else, likeFallout 5.

It is a risky move to release a new AAA game with the current climate of the game industry, and director Todd Howard seems to have gambled on the studio’s latest release.
Fans Are Now Wishing They Had Fallout 5
The fans have spoken and do not see the need to sugarcoat their honest opinions of the studio’s latest game. They have expressed their disappointment saying it was not worth the wait, and had them begging for something else entirely.
The game itself wasrunning on a very low but acceptable frame rateof 30, which can be underwhelming given the magnificent horsepower of Microsoft’s most powerful flagship home console.

Sometimes the gaming community can speak the hard truths that no one else is willing to hear, but given the feedback aboutStarfield’sdesign and story, it would seem the newest title was everything the much older and well-established franchise wasn’t.

Despite all the hype it generated when it was announced, it wasn’t enough to salvage what Todd Howard and his team envisioned.

The technological holdback was very noticeable and theupcomingShattered Spaceexpansionis still in flux. Given the current mood of the community towards the game, it is unlikely the expansion could incline players to dive right back in. However, it would take a miracle to improve the image of the game and the quality altogether.
The players have made it known that they are not happy with the end product and expect more from the studio and developers.
Starfield Gave the Fallout Franchise Some Room to Breathe
Amazon Prime Video and Bethesda Game Studios collaborated on a successful and well-received adaptation of the famous video game seriesFallout. While game development and film production are drastically different in terms of timetable, Todd Howard was involved in the showwhich is partially why it was a successworking alongside fans and filmmakers like Jonah Nolan.

Perhaps his involvement on the show gave him less time to work on the highly anticipated sequel, but given the response of the filmmakers which seems to indicate they know more about the game than they are letting on, Howardgave certain conditions on what to utilize and what to excludeto avoid competing with themselves.
Starfieldwas a very disappointing hold-off for something that fans are looking forward to, and they only hope the final product of the ambitious space title will not reflect on the quality of Bethesda Game Studio’sFallout 5whenever it releases.
