It looks as thoughBethesdais gearing up for an official reveal ofStarfield’s first DLC, which we already know will be titled Shattered Space. The studio confirmed the existence of the story expansion prior to Starfield’s release, but details have been scarce ever since.

Now, however, we may finally be getting our first look at Shattered Space as Starfield’s Steam database has been updated to include a currently unnamed app. The change was spotted by Reddit userSalmagros, who pointed out the update to Starfield’s backend, saying, “DLC may be closer than we think.”

So, how do we know that these changes are connected to the Shattered Space DLC? Well, although it’s still merely speculation, Starfield’s database currently has two pieces of downloadable content attached to it: the pre-order bonus and the digital premium edition upgrade. However, on the 28th of February, a third piece of content appeared that is currently listed as an “unknown app.”

There’s no way to know for sure what this mysterious app is, but fans are speculating that Bethesda is in the process of adding the Shattered Space DLC to Steam, which would explain why Starfield now has a third piece of DLC attached to it.

There is also the possibility that this is for Starfield’s Creation Kit. There were some significantupdates to Starfield’s backend last weekthat indicated the Creation Kit would have some form of closed beta test for verified creators. For now though, we’ll have to wait and see.

Bethesda’s last mention of the upcoming Shattered Space DLC was during theStarfield end-of-year update, where the studio said it was hard at work on the development of the expansion. Bethesda also said that Shattered Space would include “new story content, new locations, new gear, and much more.”
