15Andromeda Kepler
Andromeda Kepler is one of the many companions you’re able to find in the game. She is a writer and researcher from Cydonia on Mars. She can be found in The Broken Spear, looking for someone who will allow her to continue her writing and research.
Andromeda is great due to her Skills. She excels in Outpost Engineering, Piloting, and Aneutronic Fusion. This means that she is an excellent person to assign to anOutpostlong-term, making her extremely useful for you.
14Adoring Fan
The Adoring Fan is someone who will follow you around for free. However, you can only recruit him if you have the Hero Worshipped Trait. He will be roaming around New Atlantis looking for you the first time you step foot in the area.
His Skills are what makes him so great. He has Skills in Scavenging, Concealment, and Weight Lifting. While he may not be the best companion for sneaking, he is certainly better than most. This means you may want to consider taking him around with you.
13Dani Garcia
Dani Garcia is a researcher who is located within Euphorika, a bar in the Ebbside area of Neon. Once you speak to her, she will offer her services to you at a steep price. If you persuade her, you can get her to go with you for free.
Dani has some great Skills which make her a worthwhile companion. She has Skills in Chemistry, Robotics, and Energy Weapon Systems. This means that she would be pretty good to take on a ship.
12Simeon Bankowski
Simeon is one of the multiple recruitable companions that can be found in The Viewpoint bar on New Atlantis. If you speak to him, he will be a pretty expensive investment. However, if you drink with him, you can lower the cost.
He has Skills in Sharpshooting, Sniper Certification, and Marksmanship. This means that he will be able to do quite a bit with his guns. He is certainly one of the companions you will want to consider when looking for someone to adventure with.
11Marika Boros
Marika Boros is a woman who is skilled in a whole host of different weaponry, ranging from Shotguns to Ballistics. This means that she is one of the best when it comes to ensuring that your weapons are the best that they can be. She can be found in The Viewport, a bar on New Atlantis.
Her Skills are in Shotgun Certification, Ballistics, and Particle Beam Weapon Systems. This makes her the perfect person to have guarding an Outpost (maybeguarding the Armillary). She can ensure that wherever you put her, your weapons will be doing excellent damage.
Heller is one of the first characters you will meet in the game. When the game begins, you are entering a mine with him and Lin (the overseer of the mine). After the Crimson Fleet attacks the mine, Heller will end up captured by them. If you save him while you are out looking for Barrett, you can recruit him to your team.
Heller’s Skills are in Outpost Engineering and Geology. This makes him one of the best options for an Outpost. He can ensure that the Outpost is running smoothly. With his Geology Skill, he can ensure that any rare materials around the Outpost are collected for future use.
Lin is the first character you will meet in the game. As the game starts, Lin will be explaining to your character how the mining operation you are in will work. She is the overseer of the mine and an important ally. If you visit the mine after the game’s opening events, you will be able to recruit her.
Lin is great because she is another great Outpost companion. Considering you’ll have more room for crew members at Outposts than anywhere else, these are important people to have. Her Skills are in Demolition and Outpost Management. When paired with someone like Heller, Lin can ensure that your Outpost flourishes.
8Amelia Earhart
Amelia Earhartis that Amelia Earhart, the one you know from history class. She can be found on Charybdis III in the Charybdis Solar System. to recruit her, you will need to finish the questOperation Starseed.
What makes Amelia Earhart so good is who she is. The fact that you’re able to find her in the game and recruit her is amazing. She does have Skills in Piloting and Rifle Certification, so she would be good on a ship or out in the field.
Vasco is the first companion you will meet in the game. While you meet Lin and Heller first, they are recruitable right away like Vasco is. He is the robot member of Constellation and Barrett’s sidekick. When you are sent to The Lodge to meet with Constellation, Vasco will go with you, marking your first real companion.

His Skills are in Aneutronic Fusion, Shield Systems, and EM Weapon Systems. His Shield Systems Skill can increase the Shield on your ship, making it a great early-game addition. He also increases the effectiveness of your EM Weapons.
6Jessamine Griffin
Jessamine Griffin is an interesting companion. You can only recruit her while you are in the Crimson Fleet’s good graces. She can be found within The Last Nova, the bar that is located on The Key.
What makes Jessamine so great is that she has Skills in Theft, Ballistics Weapons Systems, and Concealment. This means that she is one of the best companions to take out in the field if you are going to sneak around.
