The latest Disney+ streaming series,Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, continues to immerse viewers in theStar Warsworld by having the young cast on a pirate station somewhere off in the galaxy. Minus the dry heat and desert, this is a throwback to the original film.

The world is full of nefarious characters that would rob their own mothers blind. As the children end their run through hyperspace, apparently, you don’t need to wear your seatbelts during such a stretch. They arrive. However, an ominous figure climbs up from the ship’s gallows.
Who comes through the smoke-filled piece of metal junk? It’s a droid wondering why these passengers stole his pirate ship. Their name is SM-33 and easilyStars Wars: Skeleton Crew’sbreakout character.

My Old Ass Review — A Hilarious and Tender Coming of Age Tale
Disney+’sStar Wars: Skeleton Crew’sSeason 1 Episode 2: Who is SM-33?
SM-33 is a droid found on the ship Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern, Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), and KB boarded and drove into hyperspace.Shaun of the Dead’sNick Frostvoices the cockney-sounding robot, which is about to arrest the stowaways before Fern convinces them she is the captain.
When Wim complains that he wants to be the captain, SM-33 hilariously announces that Wim’s words constitute a battle to the death. SM-33 gives the crew a quick lesson in how to operate their starship. Unfortunately, the droid doesn’t know the way back to their home planet, “At Adin.”

They travel to the nearby Starport, an infamous pirate spot. (Forgive me, the screeners do not have closed captioning, so I don’t have the exact name.) What looks like a Star Wars “lady of the night” approaches Fern and KB (Kyriana Kratter), saying they are children and not safe here.

Why Does No One Believe the Skeleton Crew is From At Adin?
No one believes that Wim, Fern, Neel, and KB are from “At Adin” because the planet is a myth! According to the woman trying to help Fern and KB, it means “the lost planet of eternal treasure.” This is also confirmed when the “stinky boys” try to pay for some food with pristine credits that Neel and Wim find on the starship.
When the pirates attempt to steal the crew’s money, SM-33 arrives to help. These are a couple of hilarious scenes from Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), who tells Neel to “shut his trunk” and negotiate a release of KB, but not the “boys,” showing off her comic “Han Solo” comedic timing and delivery. We also see Jaleel White, a.k.a. “Urkel,” who plays Gunter, a fellow pirate.

SM-33 can save them, initially fighting off the pirates attempting to steal Wim’s credits. We also see another Shistavanen and a Herglic, a warthog-like species we last saw in Star Wars: The Old Republic. However, as SM-33 leads his crew back to the ship, he is nearly destroyed by the Shistavanen’s blaster. The children are then placed in jail.

Is Disney+’sStar Wars: Skeleton Crew’sSeason 1 Episode 2 Ending Explained: Jod Na Nawood?
The second episode ofStar Wars: Skeleton Crewends with an introduction of Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law), a Jedi or a “Force-user”—a pirate with considerable charm and skills, making him an infamous figure across the galaxy. He is in the cell with the children and approaches them.
Nawood offers to help them. He says he will return them to the ship and their planet. They must take him with them, but they need the key to get out of the cell, which is too far to reach. He says, “The distance between us and the key is an illusion.”

Nawood then appears to use the “Force” to bring the key through the cell bars and into his hands. Wim says, “You’re a Jedi!” He removes his hood, revealing his face, and says, “Can you keep a secret?”
