Respawn Entertainment Co-Founder Vince Zampella says that there will be no microtransactions or multiplayer inStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It will be a Single-Player story experience. In an interview withIGNat the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, Zampella directly stated “it’s a single-player story game. No multiplayer, no microtransactions, it’s a story game.”
It wasannounced back in 2016that Respawn was working on a brand newStar Warsadventure, though it wasn’t until EA’s E3 Conference last year when Zampella announced the title of the game.Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderis to take place betweenRevenge of the SithandA New Hopeplaying as a Padawan who survived Order 66.
This news has been revealed soon aftera poster for the game was leaked on Amazon, This showed what seems to be the Padawan protagonist with a droid up on a mountainside. That poster was subsequently officially posted by Respawn Entertainment today, following theStar WarsJedi: Fallen Orderteaser image froma few days ago.
While we have not seen anything in depth regarding the upcomingStar Warsgame there will be a panel tomorrow at the Star Wars Celebration giving us a inside look at the game. As aStar Warsfan, I am hoping to see story elements, characters, gameplay and maybe even a release date at tomorrow’s panel.
It was rumored back in December 2018 that the game will release in November of this year, but we have yet to get confirmation. We know the game is coming out in Fall 2019, so that rumor sounds like a large possibility with it being so close to Christmas and the release of the newly titledStar Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.
Be sure to check out the reveal ofStar Wars: Jedi Fallen Ordertomorrow at 11:30 PSThere.
