10 Best FPS Sequels That Improve On The Original
Whoever said the original is always best is wrong!
Splitgate 2 is the sequel to the free-to-play game released in 2021, and while it managed to find its footing at launch, amassing over 600,000 downloads in its first week that resulted in a lot of server issues. In 2022, the studio announced they are ceasing support of Splitgate to work on its sequel that was being built on Unreal Engine 5.
Alongside the stats announcement, the studio also announced the open beta, which is expected to be available in May for PC and consoles.

Splitgate 2 aims for a 2025 release on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Will the sequel manage to avoid the pitfalls of the original? We’ll know for sure once the game’s out later this year.
