Flight Basics And Tips
During this race through a kite-filled sky,Mio and Zoe will gain the power of flight about 25% of the way through. This becomes the main mechanic for the rest of the side story.
You and your teammate must fly through the air and safely pass through each ring in front of you in order to keep progressing towards the finish line.
If you miss a single ring, you’ll have to restart your attemptfrom your most recent piece of solid ground.
Checkpoints are scattered throughout, so you never have to redothatmuch of a flight if you happen to miss a ring, but be warned nonetheless.
Besides that, flying in this story is pretty straightforward. You should also note, however, that yourflying controls can be tweaked in the options menu as well if steering doesn’t feel quite right to you.
The standard setting is for the Y-Axis flight controls to be inverted whenever you enter a section in the game with any type of flight.

The Zipline Race
At the start of the mission, you don’t need to worry about flying at all. Instead, you’ll come upon a series of ziplines to traverse that lead to platform checkpoints along the way.
There is a button-mash prompt as you climb each of these ziplines that will speed up your momentum as well.
Periodically, you’ll come across a tube you need to grapple into that will fling your character forwards towards the next objective as well.
Hit the grapple prompt as soon as it pops up to attempt to pull ahead of your teammate.
Flying Through Rings
Just off the edge of a floating island platform you’ll eventually come to, you’ll notice your first dream catcher-shaped ring. Leap through, and you’ll now be flying through the sky like a modern-day Peter Pan.
Flying through each of these rings is now your main objective.

Every route through the air is straightforward, and every ring you have to pass through next will always be visible in front of you.
As previously mentioned,missing one ring will kill your momentum and send you plummeting to your demise, so be precise.
There are a couple of floating island checkpoints along the way where you can take a breather if needed.
At the very end there’s one final zipline to the finish line.
Whichever player is able to grapple onto it first will be automatically propelled to their victory.
If your teammate isreallystruggling with this story’s flight objective, you may always offer to help them out once you cross the finish line (if you’re playing couch co-op). There’s no time limit in this race, so the second place contestant can always pass their controller to the winner if necessary. No shame.
Both players have to reach the exit portalat the end to complete this side story.
