The movie remains untitled, but the director will be teaming up withJurassic Parkwriter David Koepp and Universal Pictures will be backing the movie.
Steven Spielberg Shares His Own Theory About UFOs
During an interview withThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert, directorSteven Spielbergextensively talked about his fascination with aliens and UFOs. He admitted not ever seeing one in person, but that doesn’t take away the fact that he perceives there is something out there.
I don’t know if I’m a believer in the sense that I’m kind of a person that would think, I’ve got to see something like that to believe it. I can make stuff up and make movies about things that I’ve never seen or experienced, but in terms of really believing something I think I would have to have my own close encounter.
Moreover, theIndiana Jonesdirector said it is “mathematically impossible” that humans are the only “intelligent species in the cosmos.” He further added:
At the same time, it almost seems impossible that anybody would visit us from 400 million light years from here, except in the movies, unless it figures out some way of sort of basically jumping the shark, so to speak, and getting here through wormholes.
Spielberg said he is not an expert when it comes to aliens andUFOs, but as someone who makes movies and uses his endless imagination to create stories, as well as a person who is “insatiably curious about UFOs,” the filmmaker claimed that “there is something going on that is not being disclosed to us.”

Similarly, the director believes that these extraterrestrial beings are just as curious as humans are. “If any extraterrestrial civilization has journeyed all the way here it’s because of curiosity and science, and it’s not about aggression,” he explained.
Hopefully, Spielberg will expound more on these matters in his upcoming film. Hollywood has had a lot of science fiction movies interpreting the life and existence of these celestial creatures.
