As reported byVGC, some Twitch and YouTube streamers have gained access toSonic Frontiersby purchasing it earlier than the official release from some retailers, which has resulted in illegal streams of the game, spoiling the story and sharing the official soundtrack.
Sonic Frontiers is supposed to be launched officially on November 8, but it seems like some retailers have violated the rules and started to sell the game before the embargo lifts. Obviously, this is a matter of physical versions of the game, as digital versions cannot be played earlier unless the publisher grants you access with special codes.

In addition to retailers who have broken the embargo rules, it seems like the Nintendo Switch version of the game has also been pirated, which could make it an easy catch for those who running Switch games through emulators on PC.
Most of the streams from Sonic Frontiers have been taken down bySegaon Twitch and YouTube minutes after starting, but apparently, there have been streams up to an hour from the game. Other than that, some important story details have already been leaked on communities such asResetEra. So, we strongly suggest you avoid entering topics that you assume there could be spoilers about Sonic Frontiers.
The same incident happened forGod of War Ragnaroklast week, with a large portion of the game’s story appearing online as some retailers started to sell the game days before its official release date on November 9. It’s yet to be seen how far the leaks for Sonic Frontiers would reach, but the leaked footage and images are subject to appear on platforms that are not caring about copyright as much as YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter.
Sega has not officially reacted to the matter yet, but it seems like publishers in general need to have more restrictive agreements with retailers around the world to be able to stop them from selling the games earlier than the official release date.
The reviews for Sonic Frontiers are not out yet, but they are expected to appear online soon as we get closer to November 8.
