Jerry Seinfeldmakes his directorial debut withUnfrosted, a comedy film about cereal company Kellogg’s attempts to make a revolutionary breakfast product. While promoting the film, Seinfeld discussed his approach to the real story behind the making of Pop-Tarts, during an appearance at SiriusXM town hall.

“We really wanted to be the opposite of Barbie. We wanted to be, Kellogg’s would not make this to promote their product.”

Seinfeld made the above statement (viaThe Wrap) regarding his desire to make the film with almost little to no similarities withBarbie. Seinfeld added that the team avoided mentioning the brand’s name in the film to avoid any legal issues.
